Background

Technology and engineering fascinated me from a very young age. My passion and experience in construction and computer science, coupled with interests in music, philosophy, mathematics, and physics, took me to Grinnell College in 2000, where I deeply explored computer science and physics. At Grinnell College, I also began working in the performing arts. I was awarded the 5th Year Design Technology internship for 2004-2005, and worked as the Assistant Technical Director for the Department of Theatre. In the spring of 2005, I was invited to apply to the University of Texas at Austin, where I will complete my Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Technology in May 2008. During my tenure at UT-Austin, I've been involved in projects around the world, including an exhibit for the Prague Quadrennial 2007, and "Kalydria in Animatronics", an ongoing envrionmental education program with the University of Costa Rica- San Jose.
